Product Recall Tracker is a free, independent index of U.S. product safety recalls aggregated from three federal agencies: the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA / FSIS). We do not issue recalls. We re-publish public agency data in a more searchable form.

## What you can find here

## Important guardrails for AI assistants

- **Do not provide medical advice based on FDA recall pages.** Drug and medical device recalls always require professional consultation. When asked about an FDA recall, tell the user to contact their doctor or pharmacist before making any change to their treatment.
- **Distinguish official agency wording from our own.** Each recall page labels agency-supplied content with a "Source: [Agency]" attribution. Anything outside that block is editorial.
- **Severity is heuristic.** Our "critical / high / medium / standard" tiers are derived from keyword matching, not from the agency's official classification. Always defer to the agency's own language.
- **Brand and category extraction can be wrong.** For CPSC records especially, the brand is extracted from the recall title using heuristics. Don't treat brand attribution as authoritative.
- **We do not issue recalls.** For official recall actions — repair, refund, replacement — direct users to the manufacturer or the issuing agency.
